In Celebration of the 30th Anniversary
The year 2026 marks the 30th Anniversary of the opening of the Asahi Group Oyamazaki Villa Museum of Art.
With our collections of various artistic works, we can celebrate the anniversary here in nature-rich Oyamazaki in Kyoto thanks to the kind support extended by a range of stakeholders including visitors to the museum.
The museum is comprised of a villa that is representative of the Taisho and Showa eras and modern architecture that harmonizes with the villa. Each time you visit, it will welcome you with a new atmosphere created through the fusion of seasonal scenery and the works on exhibit. During our 30-year history, we have had numerous encounters and events at the museum to share memories, time and feelings with visitors. This is what I have re-recognized in celebration of the anniversary.
The theme that we have set for the 30th Anniversary is “Every time you visit, you will be inspired.” There are things that change and that do not change, and this fact applies also to nature, artistic works and people’s thoughts. Time passes calmly at this museum.
We hope that we can look back on the 30-year history of the museum and share our commitment for the future with you all.

Logo to Celebrate the 30th Anniversary
Commemorating the 30th Anniversary of opening, we designed a special logo. The following shows the ideas behind the logo.
The two birds and arabesque that constitute the logo are based on what was designed on the shade of the lamp illuminating the stairs to the second floor of the main building.
It is said that Shotaro Kaga, who built the Oyamazaki Villa, was fond of the design on the shade, which has been there at the museum for 30 years.
The logo expresses our desire to keep the museum a place that inspires you each time you visit it in the nature-rich area located halfway up Mt. Tennozan.
